Sculpting Stories: A Visual Collection of My Character Designs and Illustrations.
Character Design
Illustrations
When I wasn't immersed in type design, I dedicated my time to learning the art of anatomy study and character design. Drawing and art played integral roles in my BFA studies, where I engaged with subjects such as art, illustration, character design, and caricature design. The allure of creating my own art always captivated me. I recall a moment when my teacher emphasized that to create paintings, one must attain mastery for accurate reproduction of subjects. However, as an illustrator, the ability to generate characters spontaneously is paramount.
Navigating through the intricacies of anatomy, muscles, and proportions posed a significant challenge during my learning journey. Even now, whether I'm working on Procreate, Photoshop or sketchbook, for type or other endeavors, I find myself compelled to sketch few character concepts.
